What is the weekly economic calendar?

Hello Everyone

To truly understand the economic calendar and try to predict the outcome you need to collect as must data as possible from past reports:

Example:

The currency markets are driven by major fundamental announcements. Therefore, it is important to know exactly when these announcements will be made so you can take advantage of the big moves that follow or avoid losing through a sudden surprise reaction.

Some of the biggest impacts on volatile movements occur once the "USD Non-Farm Employment Change" report is released.

Released on a monthly bases, usually on the first Friday after the month ends, it will show you the "Previous" data, the likely "Forecast" and once the report is release the "Actual" result.

The last part is the one we as traders try to judge and it all kicks off seconds after the "Actual" result is released.

Example:

The Non-Farm Employment Change indicator, released by the US Government, measures the change in the number of employed people in the US, excluding workers in the farming industry.

The "Actual" reading if higher than the "Forecast" tends to made it bullish for the dollar, higher than both the "Forecast" and "Previous" tends to push the dollar more upward as the base currency and force other base currencies again the dollar downwards.

Good luck
